Thank you for the good wishes and the lovely card, SusieQ. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it involves cooking--lots and lots of cooking! Christmas is second because, well, you guessed it . . . . And may I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving, too!
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here in Scotland but that doesn't stop me wishing each and every one of you a wonderful day.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here too in Malaysia, anyway HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone here!!! Save me a piece of the yummy turkey!
Hope we all have a Happy Thanksgiving too, here in Stewbieland. I will be having a very very large turkey, and gravy, acorn squash and other veggies along with a lettuce salad and pecan pie. It's only the 3 of us......LOL
This year as going to be a bitter sweet holiday for me. I still have my sister here. Getting out the Lenox china and special stuff. My table is all set since It is egg delivery day tomorrow and my sister will be here when I get back. It's going to be snowy. Feeling sentimental...
SusieQ07-thank you for the Thanksgiving wish. Will be celebrating tomorrow with my brother, sister In-love, my son, daughter In-love, 5 year old grandson Sam, my honey, and my 91 year old Mother. It will truly be a thank filled day. Stuff and pumpkin pie are on the top of my eating list. We have so much to be thankful for. I too hope you all who celebrate this day will take time to give thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you all have a blessed day. It has been busy here, and I have not gotten here hardly at all lately. Take care and God bless.
I made two pies today, pumpkin (I bought the pumpkins and cooked them) and fudge pecan (the pecans are from our trees and I shelled them myself) but the crusts are store bought. The rolls are from the freezer section of the grocery store, the cranberry sauce is from a can, Cornbread dressing is from a box by Stove Top, the gravy comes in jars. I do have to cook the potatoes for mashing and peel and chop the sweet potatoes for baking. There was a time years ago and for many years that all those were made by me from scratch...and those were the years where I was too worn out to enjoy the day. So now I am Thankful that I don't to do it myself. The grandsons will be with their dad at his parents house so it will our two daughters, Randy and me. The duck is for youngest daughter and Randy so that leaves more turkey for oldest daughter and me.
Tooty, the expression "sister-in-love and daughter-in-love" is so nice and heart-warming. I am sure they refer to you as "mother-in-love and sister-in-love" also. Happy Thanksgiving!
