A couple nights ago, it was the full moon of September, often called the harvest moon. I was grilling out on the deck, as it came up over the horizon, and I got several shots over the next hour or so, in between turning the ribs.

Sure was a bright one Tom. Great photos, the last shot would make a great desktop wallpaper don't you think?

Lovely moon! I haven't seen the moon for a very long time due to clouds, so I'd probably wonder what that yellow thing was. :D I liked your # 2 shot best, but all were nice.

There were some wispy clouds as the moon rose. The pictures don't show it well, but in the first picture the top half of the moon was disappearing behind the clouds. On the second picture there is a horizontal line that is clouds. Also on the fourth one there is a hint of cloud. I really need to get a better camera, more zoom. ( the ribs were very good). Good idea Frank, I'm going to try it as wallpaper. Bsewnsew, yes it is from the deck at our home. A seasonally changing view that we very much enjoy every day.

Beautiful shots Tom. What a lovely view to have on a full moon night or any day or night from that deck.
We had a partially cloudy night for this months full moon. The wisps of black clouds passing in front the big white moon made it feel more like Halloween than Sept.
Just another one of those times when my camera was sitting at home and I was not.

The only thing that would make those pics any better, would be me fishing in them. Lucky you!
