I was wandering for making teas with and for there "health benefits" I can buy 1 pound of leaf for $7 plus shipping just thought about growing it instead. Just wandering if anyone has try, used or any info on this plant. Thanks
I thought about it, but they grow very tall (20-35 m or 66-115 feet) so I put it out of my mind for now. They're slow growers, though. They also like lots of sun and water, but don't like wet feet. You can find some good info on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginkgo_biloba
Sadly some herbs you have to buy instead of grow, I would like to have a Ginkgo tree too but no room. If you have an oriental market locally, they will have ready made tea bags of Ginkgo biloba tea and loose tea also, for a lot less than you can get it online.
That is what I was afraid of Toni! I thought i would be better off buying a tree but as it seems some things are better off buying than growing!
