May 3rd. Off to the hossy to see the consultant to find out what the situation is with my hernia. It has been aching a lot of late and the pain became so bad that I ended up at the doctors and he referred me to the hernia clinic at the local hospital. I was expecting a longer wait, so was pleasantly suprised. I imagine the operation won't be until the autumn so gardening should have settled down by then. Whatever, I will be grateful to be free of this near constant pain!

I have never had a hernia problem but I can imagine it is painful. Did you get some pain meds?
Hopefully they can get you in sooner than autumn, that is a whole lot of pain to endure in the meantime.

Ask them at the hospital to let you know if there is a cancellation EJ. It may speed up for operation day for you. Pain can wear you down so much so please take things easy.

My sister in Phoenix just had that done. Wannabe told me she is home already because they used the small incisions. Laproscopy? only restriction is no heavy lifting. Dooley
