That's what it is doing here now this morning. We got 3/4 of an inch of rain Sat. night and Sun morning. And it is pouring down now. I just came home from town and it rained so hard I had to pull over. I couldn't see to drive even with the wipers on superfast. They say another 1 to 1 1/2 inches before it stops on Tues.! Yippeeeeeeee!

I've always heard the expression stated as:
After being hammered by tropical storm Allison and Hurricane Rita the last few years, I'm quite ready for an uneventful hurricane season. I hope Ernesto is kind to me.

Glad to hear that you got some much needed rain though. Tap water just isn't the same for thirsty plants.

Now why is it that you have no rain for absolutely ages and then, all of a sudden. you get torrential downpours. :-? You'd think that 'the powers that be' could regulate things a little better and give us all enough rain to keep our gardens thriving throughout the year!! :p

Oops I was at the disco last night and i forgot to take off my "Rain Dance" shoes before entering. I think we have an explanation for all this rain

Keep those rain dance shoes on and get back to the disco asap. More rain began about an hour ago and it is the steady soaking kind. The ground is so dry and hard that if it was to come down any harder it would just run off into the street and down the sewer, but this is doing my yard sooooo much good.

Yay for Capt. Kirk! All those little thirsty plants (and big ones too) must be so grateful. My little plants are okay, but the trees are getting stressed - splash a little of that over this way, will ya? ;-)

I am so glad for Capt Kirk and Toni. Hope Glena and Jubabe are getting some too. I think our ground is finally resaturated after the drought. It is now holding water in the low spots.
