Beautiful blooms and adorable cats. Sorry to hear you have some of our heat, we have been in the upper 80's/lower 90's lately, early but not too unusual for us though.
That is a miserable temperature, Philip. Go vegetate inside and don't forget to take the kitties. Everything looks good, though. Hope it cools off soon.
Hi Toni, yep it feels like Texas weather,..its a record for us at this time of year,..only last week it was in the mid 80's in England and that is a disaster for them as the east coast and part of the midlands are having a drought,..in fact a hose pipe ban comes into force there in three days time. ====================================================== Hi Carolyn, vegetate is what i did do,..that was after i finished all the gardening,..including moving huge containers on my own,..two flat boards,.. wet and washing up liquid added,..they slid along. It has cooled as from this morning,..down to 62F sunny and with a breeze.
Great flowers. It looks like a lot of us are sharing in the record heat to cold. I wonder if the summer will be equally weird? In the past 10 years there have been a lot of areas experiencing record highs. The cats will be looking for cool places. Jerry
OK I'm moving to Ireland!! We've now got hail and the temperature has dropped dramatically (and is still dropping.) Typical isn't it that I should decide that two days ago it was warm enough to plant all my seeds? I really should learn to sit on my hands until at least the middle of April. Ever get the feeling that someone up there doesn't like you?
Nice plants, Philip. What wild temps there. We are forcast for snow as like Eileen. Burrrr.....and I was just getting used to the idea of spring.
Hi Jerry, records are being broken so early in the year,..we had the warmest March in 50 years,..East and middle of England the dryest in 60 years and now in drought conditions with reservoirs almost dry,..heaven knows what awaits us this summer,..knock on wood. ==================================================== Hi Eileen, lol and there is me always thinking of moving to Scotland,..yep i see by the news that temperatures are forecasted to drop to way below freezing,..thats too much for young seedlings to endure,..its pretty cold here tonight and like you i have my seeds sown and seedlings outside,..someone up there is confused, . ==================================================== Hi Sjoerd, gosh you as well for snow,..what a kickback when you are feeling springlike,..feels like a holiday postponement. ==================================================== Hi DeepWoods, plants, cats and insects,..mixed with some sunshine,..what a combination,..but glad you liked them. ==================================================== The three foot container filled with soil and a rose bush was the biggest chore to move,..only to a position about eight feet away but doing it on my own was a task indeed,..i just needed to make more space plus the rose bush was reminding me it was there,..ouch thorns from time to time. Old location. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) New position. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
Wow Phillip... the plants seem to be enjoying the warmth. But those kitties look like they're about to melt! Don't over do it in the heat. Exhaustion can sneak up on you.
Hi Cheryl, i think it did,..one morning i just turned over and went back to sleep,..woke up at ten in the morning,..i always rise early,..i still think i hear bugle call.
