I talked to Heather this morning and she said it was about 25 degs and snowing. I said I would post some pictures of my flowers so she had some until hers come up and start blooming. Here are the latest pictures. dooley
How pretty your flowers are. I know Heather will appreciate them. Maybe others will post theirs. I don't have any to post. Hi Heather!! Gaylyn (Lufkin)
Gosh your bleeding heart is sooo much further on thatn mine is Dooley. I'm sure Heather will love your photographs Dooley. Here are some of mine from last year to help cheer her up.
Lovely colours! Dooley, are those bleeding hearts blooming now? It's at least two months until mine will bloom. It's snowing again now.
Those are wonderful piccies, Dooley. It wioll be so long until I have anything seriously blooming in the gardemn, so they are welcome in Nederland as well. Thanks for showing these. Eileen, your pics were remarkable as well. I get more than a little excited when I see your guy's fotos. Thanks
I took another picture of the Iris behind the wheelbarrow this morning. The original ones are still looking good and they have been joined by lots more. The Daffs in the birthmonth garden are blooming, with a few more starting to form buds.
Droopy I was surprised at how fast those bleeding hearts grew and bloomed. They died back early last year so I wasn't sure they would come back this spring. I left the pots sitting out all winter and they filled with leaves from the mulberry tree. I didn't even think about them until I walked by one day and saw a little green showing through the leaves. I left the leaves and I think that made the ground a bit warmer so they just sprouted up quicker. But after the buds came they bloomed in about a week. They are really large blooms. I bought them at the dollar store last year. I put them in pots and they really have done well. I haven't seen any at the dollar store this year or someone else has already bought them all. Droopy, do you know why Biita hasn't been posting. It's been a bit since I've seen anything from her. dooley
OK Heather...here are a few more flowers to help out. I feel bad for you that your garden is under snow at the moment, that means no dirt-work at all for the moment. I hope these cheer you up a bit. Cheers
Awww... just look at those pulsatillas, they're gorgeous! If this is a free-for-all-thread, I'm happy to help out: Paeonia obovata: Paeonia officinalis: Paeonia sulphurea: Paeonia lactiflora "Duchesse de Nemours":
