Helichrysum

    Many may know helichrysum as the old-fashioned strawflower but it is also a beautiful foliage plant.

    It looks great spilling out of mixed container plantings or alone in a hanging pot.

    I plant it around my patio Not just because it is beautiful but it is the main food plant of larval painted lady butterflies.

    Although I plant it specifically for them it is still a heartwrench when they all hatch and eat these up.

    Great plants Bethie, I feel the same way about my passion vines when the Gulf Fritillary cats eat it up.
