    We have a fair number of these in the garden.
    They are just beginning to flower. Well they were before the snow!

    I cannot find a picture of H. argutifolius, but the flowers are like H. foetidus only pure green. Nor can I find one of H. purpurescens. I think one of the deeper purple ones above may be it.

    Gosh Eric you have a fair few varieties there!! Isn't it great to see something flowering in the garden at this time of year despite the weather?!! :-D

    Netty, if you Google Hellebores in America there is a lot of info on them and lists of suppliers.

    Nice-looking group of flowers there. A good variety that's just the thing to welcome springtime in.

    Gorgeous hellebores, Palustris. I'm drooling now. :D We've got the H. atrorubens, and also the H. purpurescens in our yard, along with the H. foetidus and the H. argutifolius and a few hybrids. What I like about them is the winter green foliage and the fact that they bloom for a long time. The size is handy in any border, bar the argutifolius. Our earliest have just started. It will be some weeks still before we've got them all out.

    Lovely shots of your hellebores Eric. Ours are only at the bud stage at the moment.
