Hello and thank you for a wonderful site. I am a transplant from America to Norway, an I love my new home. I have been comming to this site for a little while now an have got the courage up to join. So I hope there is no such thing as too many questions because the leap to Norway as far as gardening is concerned has me at a loss. Keep up the great work that is being done here because the info an pics are priceless to me anyways. Biita

Love your story of how you ended up in Lofoten Biita. I suspected love had something to do with it, but didn't dare to ask. As I said, Lofoten is truly beautiful. I found this link with lovely photos: http://www.lofoten-info.no/default2.htm
Hi Biita! Do be sure to read Droopy's blog, you'll get some great history of your adopted country! What a perfectly dream story how you met your sweetie!
I know i will like it here, an i do have lots of pics i have taken of my gardens, an veggie fields, an also of the landscapes. now i just have to figure out what forum they go to,,,lol. but thats half the fun right! that was a great link droopy thank you, an yes that is what it looks like here. i'm a little north of Borg the Viking museum just a few kilometers, but i have been to Moskenes an Flakstad. absolutely beautiful towns. heres a link to the area i live in. http://www.lofotr.no/index.html I have read droopy's blog that i found by accident an was one of the reasons i joined, the other was when i looked for info on the net to herbs i had no clue about the only place that helped was here, an found my answers. so since then i would come here an look before i would go to search online.
I like being one of the reasons for your joining the Stew. *proud* I've heard about others who always ended up here when searching the net, and just gave up and joined. Thank you for the link, I didn't know we had such an interesting museum. The pages sport some nice tidbits too. I like this one from an English bard: "The vikings' success with English women comes from bathing every saturday, combing their hair and dressing nicely."
