Hi Everyone, I am super excited today because finally the weather here in Virginia feels like Spring! My seedlings are enjoying the sunshine through the window and waiting to move to the garden by this weekend. Looking forward to learn from you all about growing organic vegetables and hoping for a successful growing year for my backyard garden! :stew2:

Hi Green Fingers, welcome to GardenStew from north central Texas. We would love to see photos of your garden, before, during and after....we sometimes like to say we require photos ;)

I have potatoes out back in a couple of containers. Got a small crop last year from one type but I had health problems so most of the veggies died from neglect.

Thank you everyone for a warm welcome. I am so glad to know that I am not alone from Virginia here :). I will definitely share the pictures as my garden progress with the season with fellow gardeners here. This is my first time of joining any online community, so little nervous but hopeful to contribute and learn more with time. Thanks again Toni, Donm and Marlingardener. Feeling blessed!

Welcome from Texas! I'm not having a large garden this year. But that doesn't stop the work in the yard. The weeds grow much faster than flowers and vegetables you know. Hope you have great success with your gardening. It isn't as hard as we make it out to be.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone! Finally I am in the company of people who can understand my dirty finger nails during spring time :D. Usually my friends are like "Gardening is too much work, we can barely keep our plastic plants looking healthy". It has been just one day and I am already feeling home :)
