    Hello GardenStew friends,

My name is SuperSweetMom (Jennifer) and I love gardening while the weather allows it. When I moved to my home, the yard only had three very large, old honey locus trees, a bush, and a white peony. Oh, and not to mention a lot of weeds. During the last three years, I've added hundreds of plants, including: bushes, various flowers, ground cover, and vines. On "My Garden" I have added a few photos of the new plants.

Someday I so hope, and hope to have a little greenhouse to grow little plants in year round. It sure sounds like a lot of fun.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

Hi there Jennifer and a warm welcome to our forums from West Lothian in Scotland. It sounds as though you've done a great job in your garden in a relatively short time. I look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome from Texas! I've never been to South Dakota but our son was at the air force base in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Is it as cold in South Dakota as he found North Dakota? I think I would want a greenhouse if I lived that far north.
Jump in and let us hear all about your gardens.

Hi Jennifer and welcome from SE Texas.
I actually made it to South Dakota for the Sturgis Rally back in '90.
Beautiful country... from what I can remember. :D

Thank you dooley and cherylad. It does get very cold during the winter months here. The wind chill often reaches -50 or more. On the other hand, this summer the heat index has reached 112F - 115F. Oh well, that's South Dakota for you. What I think is nice: we get all four seasons, although they can get a bit extreme at times.

Hi Jennifer, from your state's neighbor to the south, Nebraska.
Hope you enjoy the Stew as much as I do.
Is it as hot as it is here?
