    Hello everyone, I am a 19 year old college student from anthem, Arizona- about twenty minutes north of Phoenix (yes it is lowercase.) I usually don't have anything to do with gardening or plants, except that I have one lucky bamboo plant. I plan to build a wall hanging to grow some indoor plants this summer.

    Normally, I am interested in computers, I have a small business repairing and building computers. I am studying Materials Science Engineering at Arizona State University.

    Hi aliencam and an earthly welcome to GardenStew from beautiful Sweden. I'm very interested in all things computer myself but more the software side than the hardware side. GardenStew was a way to join both computers and gardening together :)

    Have a great time here,

    Welcome to the Stew from mid-Norway. :stew2: I started out with house plants too. Now I barely manage to keep those alive because I'm outside most of the time. :D Hop in and make yourself comfortable. :D

    for some reason "anthem" is always lowercase, it must have been a Del Web style thing.

    and the temperature is just about right for me now! I love the summer, it's about 10 Degrees F cooler here than it is in Carefree, and usually pretty breezy, so it's nice. If I were down in Tempe it would be too hot.

    It seems like most people on here have a real name, so mine is Cameron.

    Can anyone tell me why it is garden stew?

    Hello Cameron, I didn't know about that lowercase thing.........interesting. In Carefree we are about 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix and south Scottsdale. I am actually in the town of Carefree and some people think the area at Carefree Hwy and I17 is Carefree???? Just a thought...... Hey 10 degrees cooler than anywhere around the valley sounds good to me!!!! Welcome!

    Welcome aliencam;
    I'm a gardener from NC, but enjoy hearing from computer folks. Love my notebook. We're a friendly bunch and share a lot beside gardening. Nice to meet you.
