Hi, I just joined and look forward to meeting you all. I have been living for 10 years now in the woods of Ontario, Canada, on 7 acres, much of which is underwater, being owned by native beavers. They let us live here, even allowing our fencing off some of their trees which they respect our rights to. It has been a learning experience.
I grow mostly herbs and wildflowers , cuz our soil is sandy and it's a challenge to find flowers that are compatible with it. I do love zinnias though, and had one year of fabulous blooms. I have many pics of my gardens which I hope to share.

Welcome Inthewoods from New Orleans. As a native Michigander, I spent many a good time in your province. Beautiful. We do love pictures and would love for you to post some.

Where do you prefer I post pics? Here? or is there a special photo gallery....let me try one here, and if you want to move it, that's okeydokey by me.

Here's a cute one, at pond's edge. Not doing much, just posing for a picture.

    Edit: Photo no longer exists§

Love your photo. We have a special photo archive in the Members Gallery where we archive photos. Yours certainly deserves to go there. I will put it there now.

    Hello Inthewoods
Welcome from another Ontario gardener! I'm quite new here myself. There's a lot of great things going on here and great people who make you feel very welcome.
Great picture of the beaver! Can't wait to see more. There are no Beavers where I live...I share my space with deer, rabbits, skunks, raccoons and wild turkey!

Richard just got his certificate saying he was sane and I gave it to him. So, you see, *I* am actually the voice of reason here.

Hello inthewoods! [IMG] Nice to meet you.
I love the photo of your toothy friend,
good of them to let you have the use of a wee bit of their domain. :D

Ummm, Jan, I'm not sure that's much of an argument as to the sanity of either of you.
