Hello! I'm new here, but not new to gardening. I have been vegetable gardening for over 8 years now. Recently, I have been working on my perennial flower beds and trying to add lots of daisies, coneflowers, rudbeckia, irises and lilies. Unfortunately, I'm kind of an "instant gratification" type of gal and want all done...now! LOL! I know all too well, it's better to build up gradually.

A few other things about me: I'm an environmental consultant and work primarily with lead based paint and asbestos issues. I'm married, have been for 15 years and I have 2 four legged kids (shih tzus) named Boris & Natasha (yes they are named after the villains in the Rocky & Bullwinkle show).

    Happy gardening everyone!

    Becky

Hi Becky, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. It is hard to wait for perennials to reach mature size isn't it, mine have just done it this year I think.

A Rocky and Bullwinkle fan, we have some of their shows on DVD, I think I know where you got your username too ;)

Glad to have you join us.
