Hello to everyone on Garden Stew. I live on a small farm in the Great Smoky Mountains area. We have a lot of landscaping that needs to be done on our 13 acres and very little time to do it. We hope to make some progress on beds, borders and walkways this spring, though. We would like to eliminate some lawn and have more paths and flower beds.

WELCOME to our forums EastTennGardener from West Lothian in Scotland. Gosh 13 acres of land - what I couldn't do with all that space!!! I only have 1/3 of an acre and could do with so much more. We'd love to see 'progress' photographs of the work you plan to do. It sounds as though you're going to be somewhat busy!!
I hope to be Eileen. Sometimes it's just hard to know where to start! One thing is for sure. I want more roses and hostas. I just love 'em.
Welcome ET, I have some very fond memories of east Tennessee. Many years back, I lived about halfway between Chattanooga and Knoxville, within a mile of the river, it was some of the prettiest countryside I've ever seen.

Thanks! That is a Peony, although I'm not sure what variety. A friend was so kind to share from her great grandmothers garden.
They are such a vibrant color. What a great picture. Do you have any clematis in your garden. I haven't had much luck with or wisteria here for some reason.
