Hello everyone, my name is Aaron and I am glad to be here. I heard this was the place to be for new gardeners. I am a newbie. I have the basic knowledge but want to advance. I am transforming my yard into a tropical paradise. I have lots of palms in the ground already and many more germinating. I have a few fruit trees as well, with more coming. I look forward to picking your brains!! Thank you and have a great day!! Aaron
Hi Aaron, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Very good to see you have already jumped in and gotten your feet wet on some of the topics, keep it up.
Hello Aaron Nice to have another stewbie with palm trees. I love them, even though I only have a little dwarf Phoenix roebelinii. And of course - who does not like fruit??? I am looking forward to your posts. Welcome.
Hi Aaron. :-D Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself here so that we can all get to know you. Ask as many questions as you like as there is always someone who will be able to help you out or point you in the right direction. WELCOME!!
Welcome to the Stew Aaron. Though we're deffinitly not having warm weather yet, I'm looking forward to the palm trees picts. Sometimes I think it'd be cool if we had the right weather to grow them here.
Welcome Aaron of sunny Florida from weather-beaten, coastal mid-Norway. Looking forward to seeing your palm trees and everything else in your yard.
Hi Aaron - I enjoyed your yard pics. I've had a pony-tail palm on my porch for many years and it seems to enjoy being a bit root bound, although that is probably my imagination; is it a true palm, or a member of a different family ? This question should be under a different topic heading, but I thought I would take advantage of your palm know-how. Thanks-
Welcome to GardenStew Aaron, we are glad to have you on-board. We know where to turn to if we have palm questions // frank
Hi from northeast Wisconsin where it has warmed up to 10 degrees today! No palms here, but we've got a lot of pines.
Thank you very much everyone.Quatro -gatos the pony tail palm is not a true palm. The ponytail is more in the lilly family. It just looks alot like it would be a palm. Here is a link with more info.http://www.floridata.com/ref/B/beau_rec.cfm
