Hello - I'm a relatively novice gardener who inherited some beautiful perennial gardens when I bought my current home. I've been having lots of fun tending the garden and watching it go through its bloom cycles over the last 1yr plus. Now I figure it's time to learn a thing or two so I can not only maintain what I have, but hopefully expand and beautify it somewhat. I'm anxious to learn about new plants (perennials in particular) and I'm also anxious to learn what I have in my garden right now. Any tips on how to ID plants would be appreciated!
First of all, welcome to the Stew. Do you have pictures of your plants that you can post? That would be of great help. We have many knowledgable people who could identify your plants by seeing the pictures.
Welcome to our forums ckdang70. :-D You'll get lots of useful advice here at GardenStew as we really enjoy helping each other out. Do post photographs of your garden for us won't you?
Hi and welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Feel free to post photos of mystery plants in the Photo ID forum and we will see what we can do to help you lear about them.
Warm welcome to you from the chilly coast of Norway! My, imagine inheriting a garden, how lovely. Do post photos, please. We love photos.
Thanks Thanks for the warm welcome all. I will go ahead and post some pictures of the mystery perennials in the hopes of getting some positive IDs. I just ordered some plant markers and they should be arriving within days!
