Hi! I don't know anything about gardening, but I was blessed with a couple of green thumbs. My yard, flowers and garden were doing beautifully...were being the key word. I am active duty military and have been away for five years. I am back home now, and my yard/garden space/flower beds are a wreck. I know now it's time that I need to know exactly what I'm doing rather than relying on green thumbs. Also, there are some plants I have that mean a lot to me and are not passed saving that I want to save. Every time I googled a question, it brought me to this site. I can't wait to get into the blogs and see what everyone else has to say! :-D

Thank you GlenDann for thanking me, but I'm a nurse. I don't keep the country free as much as I try to get all of our people home in one piece. It's very frustrating when we can't sometimes. Thanks again, and I'm so thrilled to get some help!!

Welcome to GardenStew Shearai. :stew1: Nursing must be very tough at times especially as you are attached to the military. I'm so glad we have people like you looking after our servicemen and women.

There are folks from all over the world here on our forums so ask as many questions as you like. We'd love to see before and after piccies of your garden too if that's possible as we enjoy sharing our outdoor spaces with each other.

thank all of you for the responses

I have been so busy going through all the topics that I haven't been back here in a while. I thank all of you for your welcome. I am so excited to have found this site to benefit from others' experience. I will try to have photos soon, but my scanner is in my household goods....in the military that means that I have to wait until they deliver my stuff to my house. When that happens, I will give before and after pictures. Thanks to everyone who responded to me.
