I'm new to this forum and new to gardening in general. I decided to start because my grandmother cultivated exotic species her whole life and just passed away. Due to distance, I didn't get to spend much time with her and therefore do not know all the things I need to know to continue her work. Any advise that anybody has would be appreciated. Note: I'm having her plants shipped down from Kansas City, MO. Some should be here by Fri. and the rest will arrive in the next two weeks.

Hi Aurelia, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.

Sounds like you are taking on a monumental gardening challenge. Please show us photos of the plants when you get them. There are several members who love the exotic plants, they will have all sorts of good info for you.

Hello and welcome from hot and humid east Texas. Sorry to hear of your Grandmothers passing, but I think what you are doing to carry on her legacy is wonderful. Hope the plants all arrive safely. We are anxious to see the pictures.
