I am new to this site and to most of the wonderful plants and flowers out in this world. I have always liked working outside since I was young. I am newly semi-retired and have a yard that is 3/4 acres on a river just 3 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. I have recently began working and planting in the yard and such. In the ground we have a new Meyer Lemon tree, 4 new rose bushes, 4 old climbing rose bushes, 19 new hostas, transplants of a confederate rose , fire & ice, orange trumpet plants and purple people eater plants (purple double trumpet) and a very old grape vine. In pots we have several wondering jews, a boston fern, several aloe veras, a bleeding heart and an angel wing begonia. Some of the potted plants will be going into the ground. Thanks for stopping in and I am sure that I will be asking a lot of questions. Hope y'all are ready for me and have patience with me. Thanks again!

Hello LadyStone and WELCOME to GardenStew. :-D You sound as though you have a great selection of plants in your garden which will keep you busy now you're semi-retired!!! You must take some photographs for us as we love to see each others gardens. I look forward to learning more about you and getting to know you.
Hello LadyStone, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. I am about 60 miles from the Texas/Oklahoma state line. I like your plant assortment. Is your grape vine a Muscadine?
Welcome to our Stew from another Texan.I live about 99 miles north of Houston 36 Mile from Bryan/College Station. Glad to have you join us.I have Angel Trumpets too.I have the white and double purple and others. You have a great assortment of plants.
Thank you all for a wonderful, warming greeting! Once I have more pics, I will post them. I live in Sargent, TX. The grapevine that I have is not Muscadine. We are not sure what type of grape that it is...they are white with 3-4 seeds in them. The vine was here when the place was purchased.
Welcome LadyStone Glad you've joined the group. It sounds like you have some wonderful plants, I grow a lot of those, myself.
