    Well...

I'm a computer programmer and an amateur gardener. I like both fruits and vegetables as well as planting flowers, trees, and shrubs. This year the weather has been semi-cooperative in Kentucky and you pretty much need to just put something in the ground. I like cats and birds too. We feed a cardinal sunflower seeds morning and evening.

Is the Cardinal in your avatar one that feeds in your yard? I have a family of them in my yard, watched a Daddy Cardinal feeding a youngster out the side window last week so I think there are now 5 that visit frequently.
We have several feral cats that think of my yard with all the birds to be their personal dining establishment....do you want a half dozen new ones? ;)

    It's funny...

We fed a particular cardinal (The one in my avatar) for 5 years until he was pushed out of his territory by other cardinals or his offspring. We miss his perching on a wire under the apex of our roof awning until morning very much. As far as cats go, we have 4 very intelligent barn cats and a siamese at home. We live on a horse farm. So, yes, we like cats, but we couldn't take any more right now.

    Thanks for the warm welcome...

And to answer your question Frank, I use C, and Visual Basic. I've used a lot of languages in the past, but for what I'm doing now it's mainly Visual Basic. I wrote a game about 8 years ago called "Sharpshooter's Miniature Golf" in C and C++, but today I stick with what works and what's easiest. I'm no longer in a rush to prove technical things to myself or others in my waning geekdom.
