Hi all, I stumbled on this site quite by accident. It looks like a great site with lots of resources. My name is Mike and I have gardened all my life. I'm mainly interested in unusual trees, dwarf and unusual conifers and recently in Semperviviums (Hens & chicks), but I love all plants and I have a mix of trees, shrubs, dwarf and unusual conifers, grasses and vines in my yard. I'm also an indoor gardener and have a large collection of Hoyas and Haworthias plus a smattering of other succulents (I'm not really into cacti.) I live on the northern edge of zone 4a, in Minneapolis. I look forward to exploring the site and "meeting" the members here. Thanks, Mike edit to correct spelling

Hi all, Thanks for the warm welcome! My yard is a work in progress, but I will try to get some photos taken. I am waiting for my new camera to be delivered. I went on a canoe trip a couple of weeks ago and the canoe almost tipped over, but didn't quite tip all the way, but we did take on a lot of water and the water ruined my camera. Frank, Actually, that post on the Semps is what brought me to this site. Someone had posted a link to that Semp thread on another gardening site I belong to. Mike
Wow, thanks all. This is sure a friendly bunch of folks - and from all over the world, too. I think I'm going to like it here. Mike
