Well, I guess I should say hello first off. My name is Brian and I live in Prescott Valley, AZ. We are about 2 hours north of downtown Phoenix and about 2.5 hours south east of the grand canyon. I have a question about my Weeping Willow tree, so any help on that thread will be appreciated. http://www.gardenstew.com/viewtopic.php?p=63841#63841 Nice to meet you all.
Hi Brian, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. My hubby is a Ham Radio operator too. Glad to have you join us.
Hello, Brian! We live in Mayer and I work at the Prescott Valley library. We have a lot of books on gardening and trees. Stop in and see if there may be one that will help you. I like weeping willow trees. We had a big one in Wisconsin. Dooley
Hi there Brian and WELCOME to GardenStew from West Lothian in Scotland. Looking forward to getting to know you. :-D
Hi Brian and a big welcome to GardenStew. Having read others posts here I'm guessing there is more about your username than meets the eye. Care to enlighten an unenlightened fellow? You will love it here. Just jump into any discussion anytime. Happy 4th of July, // Frank
Hello Brian, from Central Texas. You will enjoy the Stew as your neighbors Dooley and DR will be very helpful at your local library. You probably have more in common than you realize Brian.
Welcome aboard from sunny HOT Mayer, Az. We do indeed have much in common as my name is also Brian. I am in Prescott Valley 5 days a week including Saturday at Peddlers Pass. dr
Thanks everyone for the welcome. Dooley, I may stop by your work this week. Honestly, I have never been to our library here in PV. Hello to DR (your wife too). Frank, my username is an amateur radio call sign. I have been licensed for 15 years now, and use amateur radio not nearly enough any more. Thanks again for the welcome everyone.
I talked with our reference librarian on the evening hours about your tree. She said she had one taken down last fall because it started to die. She said the people from Watter's Nursery told her that it could be caused by both too much water or too little water. If they get too little water they can grow roots into your water lines and break them. The tree had grown under their sidewalk and raised it up. You might visit Watter's Nursery. It's on Iron Springs Road. Watch out for the construction though. We can still look for more help if you need it but check with Watter's and see what they say. Dooley
