Well here is a little bit about myself. I grew up in Alaska and absolutely love it there! I met my husband there and we got married on October 31, 1999. A year later, he moved us to Seattle, Washington. There we aquired Xanna, our chunky red haired cat. We lived there for 4 1/2 years in a condo, so I didn't have much room to grow a whole lot of anything. The few plants I did have, were constantly being mauled by the cat, if she could figure out a way to get to them.
Then in August of 2005, we moved to Quincy, Illinois due to a death in my husband's family. His cousin passed away from cancer the day before we left Seattle. My husband felt he would be needed here, so now we are here. Last year we finally bought a house with a real yard! Of course it isn't fenced, which proves to be an interesting challenge for growing anything outside. Our yard is a free for all with the neighborhood cats, rabbits, squirrels, and birds...not to mention a few neighbor children, who think our backyard is a short cut. A month after we moved in I got our dog from the humane society. She has been transferred up here from Louisiana and they think she is about the right age, she might have been born during are a little time after Hurricane Katrina. Needless to say she is very shy and hides when anyone comes to our house...until she gets to know them a little bit. Our 2nd cat we got 1 month after the god as a stray. Her mother is a stray that lives at my husband's aunt's house and she keeps having litters of kittens....so we took one.
I finally devised a way to try out a garden for the first time this year and I am really excited to see how it goes. You should have seen me the other day when I first saw my arugula had sprouted from seeds!
I love reading and it can depend entirely on my mood as to what book I will pick up. I also surf the internet from time to time and help my husband build his online business that he is trying out. ;)
