I love flowers so I thought I would see what is going on in this forum, I inherited my grandmothers green thumb, my hubby says I can grow anything, but I think he is just being nice, lol! Right now on my bookcase I have two poinsettas from Christmas, which are still doing good, the smaller one has dropped all the colored leaves which were white ones but there are green leaves to take their place, the red one is still going and I also have two Amaryllis, the flowers are gone but the leaves are growing great! I also have what I call my problem plant, it is a yellow calla lily that he got me last summer, I just planted it in a pot and hope it grows. My name is Martha and I am thrilled to be on another web page, I live in zone 6 so everything is pretty well frozen outside right now. :)

Welcome from Indiana :) Everything's frozen here too, cant wait for spring weather!
I also have a calla lily (well, its my moms, but I take care of all the houseplants) that Im trying to figure out how to care for, as Ive never had one haha Its dormant right now (I hope its just dormant, and not dead...) so Ive got my fingers crossed that it makes it :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, and I hope to have pictures of the calla lilies when and if they start to sprout.

Hi Martha, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. You will love it here, lots of friendly gardeners and lots of good plant information too.

Photos, we love them so get your camera out and busy. We, me in particular, love photos of snow so if you have some photos would be most welcome. ;)
