    Hi everyone,
My name is JoAnn and I am new to the site. I have several gardens in my yard, all flower. I am currently working on turning my entire front yard into an English Cottage garden. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!! My Dad, Tom Allman encouraged me to join the site. I'm sure I will find a lot of useful information here.
Hope to meet many of you soon!

Hello ashcats, welcome to the Stew from the coast of mid-Norway. :D

I haven't got an English cottage garden, sorry to say, though I'd dearly love one.

Hi JoAnn, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.

No cottage garden here either but I lust after them. I think Sjoerd comes close to having the cottage garden look, but I don't think he planned it that way.

Hello there JoAnn. Welcome, from Maryland. Making your whole front yard a garden sounds like a fun project. Maybe you could have a section for herbs, like a cottage kitchen garden? I hope you'll post pics -- I like to learn from your experience. Is your dad also a Stewbie? What's his user name?

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yes, my dad is on the site. His user name is Calomaar, his name is Tom. I am sure many of you know him, as he posts and blogs frequently.

Ohhhhh, Tom, of course we know him...just not by his real last name

How's your Mom doing? Now you can keep us up on her progress when your Dad is busy around the house.

Oh yes, yes, Calomaar. Your dad posts beautiful pics and info about loons and other neat things. How nice! I hope your mom is doing well. Can't wait to see how your cottage garden is growing.
