I bought my first home this month. The yard is 1.5 acres and is dirt patch in some places is yellow in others is really green in others and weedy in the back where about 8 oak trees are growing in close proximity.
I don't know alot about lawn care but i have watched others take care of their lawns with AWESOME results.
One neighbor covered the yard in manure and watering it ....and it was as green as winter rye....simply beautiful....that is what I'm shooting for. I joined this forum in hopes to find all the information I need to make this happen.

John, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Do you garden? If so do you prefer vegies or flowers?

I am in the process of replacing the grass in our back yard with gardens so lawn answers are not my expertise.

Please post your question in the Lawn Care forum
http://www.gardenstew.com/viewforum.php?f=9 It will get more views and a better possibility of an answer there.

    Glad you joined us.
