I joined many years ago and then for some reason did not post. Hummm, I don't know why. I love to garden but I am now 78 years old and can no longer do what I use to. So I now do a little container gardening. I also water a small garden area and then toss out Bright Lights cosmos seeds. Bright Lights are for hot dry summer gardening, grow to about two feet tall, do not need constant watering. They make the area come alive with color. West Texas is very hot in the summer...100 to 110 degrees. And very dry. But with watering we can grow most of the flowers and shrubs that the northern states grow. Many of us have a well just for watering the gardens. BRIGHT LIGHTS COSMOS

Welcome from central Texas! I had cosmos in the front flowerbed, and for some reason forgot to plant them last year. Thanks for the reminder, and the great photo!
Hi and welcome from SE Texas. Those cosmos are gorgeous, but I tend to like the pink, purple, white ones better... mainly because of the whispy foliage. I may have to get the orange/yellow one's another try in a different area now that I've seen your photo.
Hello and welcome from Idaho. That is a great photo but I also prefer the softer colors. However I've been adding the brighter colored flowers that hummingbirds like so more will visit.
