Hi Daeze, welcome to GardenStew from just a bit south of you in north central Texas, also zone 8. I don't grow very many veggies, not many we will eat but I am having some success with Asparagus, toms which I get to eat all by myself and ..... that's pretty much it for the food section. Mostly I grow flowers with a leaning toward anything that a butterfly, their caterpillars or bees will like.
Welcome from Northeast Wisconsin. I don't have a garden now but do have a few house plants. I used to live in Texas for about six years. I always had a garden until we moved here to Wisconsin to be near our son. I'll give any help that I can to answer your questions. dooley

Hi you all, We are Grandpa & Grandma we have a house full of grands 19 down to 3, We take in unwanted dogs and raise them till the end. We feed the birds and Hummers all year also.Most of all we love to garden and help others start a garden.I use to can all our veggies and fruit. now I just freeze what we need and give away the rest.I come down sick about 12 years ago and sold my beauty shop's.
