    Hello Everyone.
My name is Kim. I'm a second year gardener out of zone 7 (I'm more specifically located in the Southern Delaware region). I started last year with a small hobby greenhouse and a container garden that successfully grew squash, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, peas, peppers, potatoes, and some herbs. This year I plan to do some more raised bed, and in ground planting than strictly container, but with a lot of the same vegetable options, just different varieties. I learned a lot last year simply by doing, but I love the idea of reading other peoples success' as well as failures to help in my process.

I can't wait to read everything everyone has to say and suggest. Thank you all!!
    Kim

Frank- I couldn't agree more. I'm thrilled to share with everyone.
Zuzu- I was very pleasantly surprised by my success last year. Especially being my first year. Although I do think I bit off a little more than I could chew. This year my focus is on keeping most of what I had success with last year and perfecting.
Thank you guys so much I can't wait to share this years trials as well as get some great advice.

Hello and welcome from Illinois. I tried container gardening and did well with some things but my cucumbers were a disaster. Wishing you well with your garden this year.

    Hello everyone!!!!
Wannabe- thats a shame!! My cukes were my absolute favorite part. I trellised them up and they just took off. That was probably the only thing that grew to potential. Everything else however, just didn't quite produce to the level I wanted them too. Thats why I'm switching to mostly raised beds this year.
