We awhile ago I had asked your help in IDing a flower I had growing down by our barn. It looked like a hollyhock but the leaf was deeply cut and so different than the other hollyhocks growing there.
Mallow was suggested and when I looked it up online it sure looked like that was what it was. Well now it's flowering and really has me stumped. Because the flowers look like a Hollyhock. So here are some pic's of it. Maybe it's a Mallhock or a Hollylow.

But the leaf is very strange for a hollyhock. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden )

Hi Tooty-- I have hollyhocks in my garden with leaves similar to this and flowers like this. I believe that the flowering plant that you featured is indeed a hollyhock.

Yes it will be. I hate having to wait a whole year. Maybe I will try growing some of the seeds in the house after they have spent sometime in my refrige to fool them. :-D Yes those leaves are really strange. Plus they are huge. I'll have to get some measurements on them. :stew1:
