We have Boysenberry and Blackberry Vines that are starting to have Berries right now, a few every day. My question is : do we cut the canes that had fruit on them this spring off or will they bear fruit again next year. New Canes are growing now also and are getting very long.we do cut the thorny vines off since we planted thornless variety.

I planted thornless black berries last year. They had a few berries then. I do not prune mine at all now since they are young. Maybe when they get older I will a bit. This year they are loaded with berries. Every inch of cane has berries.
