I went out again tonight to see if I could get a vulture closeup. No luck. It was thundering and there was some lightning in the distance. My trusty helper was on alert and kept telling me it was time to go inside. I took several pictures of the vultures but no turned out. I guess I just have to keep snapping away and hope I get a good one. The problem is they keep moving and the picture gets blurry. I need a faster camera I guess. Anyway, I thought since she was so much help I'd post her picture, too. dooley
She does look like she could of help. If you need a vulture picture, we have a pair enjoying a romantic lunch. Well we think it might be romance, sort of hard to tell with vultures ya know.
We have vultures here every summer. They sleep in the big trees down by the creek. But, you usually only see them flying when there are thermals for them to soar on. This past week they have been circling over the house every evening and I am trying to get a picture of them. Last year I counted about 50 in a group circling but if they are too high you can't get them with out a zoom lens. I keep trying though. dooley
Lovely helper! Keep trying dooley, you'll catch them one day, I'm sure of it. I'd really like to see them, since I've only seen them in westerns.
Your helper looks like he truly enjoys his job! I'm sure you'll get a pic of the vultures, and i can't wait to see either!
I've got my fingers crossed for you. That dog is looking really healthy and happy. He's a great helper.
Chance is looking great Dooley. What a lovely shine she has on her coat. It's good to know that she's keeping up her guard dog duties and warning off all unwanted visitors.
