Donna, I have to admit your teen-agers look better than mine! The Buff Orpingtons are a breed I've wanted to have, but with our Texas heat, I'm afraid they wouldn't thrive. We still have all 12 of our Australorp (a cross between the Buff Orps and a black Australian chicken)chicks--they are at 12 weeks now and ready to meet the six mature ladies in the next coop. We'll be blending the two flocks this coming week. Aren't chicks and chickens fun? And those home-grown eggs--fantastic!
I love my chicks there is nothing like home grown eggs I hate store bought so hope my girls get busy one day
