What an interesting Idea!! Won't the cucumber be surprised when it gets out of the bottle. The ground will be a long, long way down. Question? As the vine grows over the edge of the bottle, is it protected from the sharp edge?

Jerry, that reminds me of what my grandmother used to do... she would put a blossem of a cucumber ir sone veggie in a clear small necked jar. It would grow and develop in tge jar. When fully grown she would pick it but of course it was stuck in the jar. Then she pit vinegar in it and would keep it and show us. She would always ask...how did i get it in there? Lol that wad a good memiry. I think i will do thst this year.

Interesting! Does it grow through the neck of the bottle and downward, or over the edge of the top?

Cukes are heavy feeders, Donna. You shall have to keep them well-fed.
I will be watching to see the development of this project.
    Good luck, miss!
