We live in an apartment and there is no room for a tree, so I did up the fireplace last year and this year. Its not completely done, I still have to add the stockings and maybe a few more candles or greenery. Last year the stockings went up where the bows are, but this year I added a 3rd stocking so Ill have to get some of those decorative hooks for em. Bob really needs to do something with that mirror (oh well, we're moving out in March so theres no reason to hang it...). The garland looks a bit bunchy because the lights are new so are still bunched up from being in their box. Our cat Feliz would like one of those "meow" stockings. I like your decorations--who says a tree is mandatory? By the way, do you know where I could get 12 chicken feet stockings? I don't want my girls to feel left out.
Very pretty decorations, simple is usually much better. That plant on the left could be strung with lights and used as a christmas tree.
I like your decor, and I especially like the stocking on the right. It's got a traditional Norwegian eight-leaved rose on it, a knitting pattern found on hats, gloves and sweaters.
