Hermit thrush arrives.

    This is another shy bird, a hermit thrush. It was here last winter and its back again, good job I have food for it.

    Ours Hermit Thrushes arrive in the spring so your area must be part of its winter range. I have only seen one high up in the trees never up close. Do they sing their captivating song in the winter or is that reserved for mating season areas?

    It does look a little nervous doesn't it? I hope it settles down and becomes a regular visitor this winter.
