Hermit thrush

    A hermit thrushh has been around the deck for quite a while now. It came for a drink today Its grat trying to get some decent images. A few robins are always around too and a few fox sparrows.

    Gosh I didn't know there was a bird called a Fox Sparrow! What an attractive little creature it is. It's markings are just like the ones on the thrushes we have over here in Scotland. The Hermit Thrush looks very similar to our young robins. You're teaching me more each day about the wildlife of other countries. :-D

    Your Robin looks different to our European version. Am I correct in thinking this?

    Our robins are larger than starlings, an easy target with a camera, plus it is the coopers hawk first choice on the menu.
