    Hey guys!

My name is Jordan, and I love working with soil, plants pots, etc etc. I'm 17 years of age, I know, I'm young, but I thought this is a good field to get into, I want to open my own business when I hit the right age, and I have the right amount of support and money.

I currently work in a greenhouse. We have currently filled 5000 hanging baskets, 2000 flats, 3000 fiber hanging baskets and 1500 4 inch bots in trays. If your Ontario you may know Frank Ferragine, I work with Frank's cousin, who owns a Greenhouse business.

We have lots of fun when we work.

I know what you may be thinking, I'm 17, I love flowers / plants etc, am I gay? No, I'm not, I got into this field because it's alot of fun!

Feel free to PM me at anytime. Add me, whatever you feel, thanks for having me here @Frank!.

    Jordan.

It wouldn't matter, one way or the other, whether you were gay or not Jordon. Being enthusiastic about gardening is what's important. It's good to know that someone your age has such an enthusiastic outlook on life and I wish you all the very best in the future and hope that you achieve your dreams.

Welocome to GardenStew and I look forward to getting to know you. :-D

Hi Jordan, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.

Nope, not what I was thinking. I was thinking it would be great to see photos of those plants and your own garden. We would love to see some if possible, many of our members are in the depths of winter so some color will cheer them up.

Welcome Jordan from Virginia. I think it's great you have a green thumb at 17. And a job. It also sounds like you have a great future ahead of you. Good luck.

Hi Jordan, I should have read this before I plagued you with questions on another post, sorry.

Welcome. We are glad you joined us. I am assuming you are in Ontario Canada and not Ontario, Ohio?

You sound like I did at the age of 17. I worked for a greenhouse that we had a gazillion H.B. and a million flats (at least that is what it seemed like every spring as we loaded trucks day after day after day for weeks on end)

And welcome from SE Texas. Sounds like you've found your calling! Heck... with all those plants to tend to, you could probably teach us "old" folks a thing or two. :-D

Jordan sending you a big welcome from Wis. It is sad that folks might think you had an alternate lifestyle. Sad also that when people hear the word gay they assume lifestyle. People use to use the word for when they where feeling happy. I am always gay when I am out in my garden with nature surrounding me.
It is so great to see someone who is young and enthusiastic about growing plants and getting outside and working in the dirt.
Your job does sound like a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I had worked at a Greenhouse for a few months and loved it. It covered 6 acres and all of it was under glass. I use to take plants from one end of the plant to the other. Then a foreign worker tried to get lets say more than chummy with me. I reported him but they did nothing about it. So I hated being watched by him and his buddies and not know what they where saying. So I quite. Oh well, now I have my own garden and love it.
Hope to see pic's of where you work and the stuff you grow. Glad you found this great friendly online community with folks from all over the world. ;)
