At the moment an itchy if avid gardener thanks to the fire ants and mosquitoes that are an ever-present fact of life in my gardens. I grow about 100 roses as well as perennials and annuals of every variety. I have 3 rescue dogs that (although they appear to be put together with leftover dog parts) are my sweethearts. Just happened on to Garden Stew, and am glad to be a part of it!

Hi Rozilla, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. The fire ants and mosquitos are rampant here too and I have the itchy bites and swollen stings to prove it.

Oh, please show us some photos of your roses and all your other flowers too.

Welcome! I'm itchy in Maryland too.
Leftover dog parts! That's so funny.
Maybe you will have some ideas about black spot on roses...

Welcome to the stew, Rozilla, from a cold, wet Norway where summer just won't show. :stew2: I'd love to see all of your roses and your furries too. Hop in and make yourself at home.

Welcome to the Stew! Glad to have you here with us! Mosquitoes and red ants are what we in Texas deal with every day! I live on a golf course that is also a wildlife sanctuary so I also deal with TONS of deer!

I hope you enjoy your time here at the Stew, would love to see some pics of your garden!
