    Hi all,

I havent been here in awhile. Nice to see there has been some COLOR added to the pages and they are not boring black and white any more.

Summer was horribly hot here and we had that drought as some of you might have noticed. I had very little to take pictures of, despite watering my yard and garden almost daily. My garden did nice in June and early July, and then it went downhill from there. By August most of my veggie garden was about dead, and not making much of anything. I did get a little over 3 1/2 qts of tomatoes to can up. I made some zucchini breads, and shared some zucchinis with friends. The onions and garlic are doing well, and the parsely is hanging on. I have a couple of mini bell peppers [weather, not genes]...I gave my stunted cantelopes and what not to my horse. She enjoyed them. Around late August, we began getting some showers and things have greened up here. The fall colors are just beginning, and a few things are in bloom. My America roses are putting out a second round of buds, and one is open as of yesterday. A few other rose bushes are making new buds. I have some zinnias, Jerusalem artichokes, sedums and morning glories blooming. Almost everything else is done for this year. I have been busy outdoors a lot, or falling asleep at my computer.

How are all of you? I hope you are well and your gardens are thriving.

HIYA!! :D It's good to see you posting here again. It's been a strange year weather wise hasn't it? None of my fruit trees or bushes produced this year as the spring weather was so dreadful The bees didn't appear in the garden until July!! Hopefully next year will be better but I'm not holding my breath.

    Welcome home.

Hi AA, Nice to see you back. Same story here for the weather. We wouldn't have gotten a garden if we hadn't watered 24/7 something...everyday. Now we have been getting rain regularly once a week to the point of not being able to get in the garden with the tractor and wagon or the tiller to clean up...officially our drought is over according to the weatherman on a local channel.
