Hi all! I had a great birthday yesterday!

I went with the family to Christmas Revels at the Saunders Theatre in Cambridge, MA then out to eat at an Ethiopian restaurant (Asmara), very good. Great time. The theme of this year's Christmas Revels was Victorian England & the folk songs & dances from that time were great. Lots of audience participation. I am a terrible singer in a musical family but that did not deter me from singing along!!! Great day. For those of you in the MA-NH-RI area, consider checking this out next year.

a Big happy birthday to you, 'Yuga. I like the sound of that restaurant. It would have been great to have been a fly-on-the-wall there to see the menu and all the good things that you folks had. The music sounded good as well.

I shall look that restaurant up and check out the menu and décor.Yeah--it all sounds good.

 

Sjoerd--It is an interesting restaurant, you sit at basket tables & are served on one large platter that covers the table. There are no utensils, just thin pancake-like bread that you tear up & use to pick up the food. It's a fun process & good food! Share & share alike.

Before hitting the restaurant, our daughter wanted to get some 'bubble tea' (boba tea). Have you had that? It might be Thai, I'm not sure, but it is made with something like tapioca in it, making the 'bubbles'. It was interesting. I would have it again.

I was about to ask about an Ethiopian restaurant but Sjoerd got there first. I like the idea of all sharing from the one platter.

 

Another B-lated Birthday wish. Sounds like a great time. I would have loved to see those Victorian England costumes and here the music. Love that period of history. Eating with your fingers sound great to me. Very little clean up afterwards. Glad you had such a great day.
