I've recently started trying to have a garden - again. In the past I have joked that I have a black thumb - but my father can make anything grow! My parents recently moved to the same town where I live, and "magically" I am getting more of a green thumb! Could also be that my plants are getting more attention since my children are grown! I'm mid 40's, married for 25+ years to same wonderful man, have a 21 yr old married daughter and 19 yr old student son. Animal additions to our home include 2 indoor-only cats, 1 in-and-out dog, 2 outdoor dogs, 1 donkey and one goat.....Native soil is rock - with a sprinkling of cedar and oak compost... so everything I do is raised bed. Looking forward to getting hints to make my garden sparkle!

Hi there, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.
Any pictures you want to share of your gardening area and flowers and pets we would enjoy seeing.

I want a goat, but living in the city it's not going to happen. :'(

Welcome to the Stew from Norway! :stew2: I want a goat to, but my neighbours tell me I'll have to move to make it happen. So there.

Please show some photos of your garden, I think it sounds exciting.
