Hi everyone! I live in CT and right now its freezing outside with snow on the ground! I am excited about this site and am looking forward to reading and absorbing the information you all have shared. I am a homemaker, mom of 2 girls and we have two cats! One is white and one is black...named Flour and Spice :D

I have started getting the tons of garden catalogs which throws me into a 'I want spring NOW!' mood  Atleast, I have time to plan for the days ahead! So think warm thoughts for me 8) Cheerz!

Welcome to the Stew from coastal mid-Norway! :D I believe lots of Norwegians moved to Connecticut during the migrations. I'm looking forward to hearing about which seeds you will buy and the plants you've got in your garden. :stew2:

Hi Cheerz, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas.
I would just like to have some winter weather to get tired of before spring arrives.

Yes photos, we love photos...of pets, gardens, local scenery just any you would like to share.

Thanks for all the 'WARM' welcomes :) I have 7 gardens right now and actually blowing one up since it is riddled with poisen ivy..that has been in the works since last spring. I have one garden that is all veg's, one that is all fruits and the rest are perrenials. I think if my mom could see what we have done with her property she'd be thrilled! I'll have to work on getting you some pics of the kitties. They are quite the team ;) I need to spend some time reading all the ins and outs of the forum so I know where to post stuff. Looks like the blog may be a good place to start? What is your opinion on the blogs? Thanks!

Droopy I have to agree! :stew2:

The kittens are now 'cats' and I know I have some digital pics around here somewhere! I need to figure out where and how to get them here for everyone to see!

Note: We had 3 at one time...her name was Sugar. Sugar passed away when she was 18 months old from FIP..Feline Infectious Perionitis. It is the 'sister/brother' of Parvovirus to dogs. She had dry FIP and the diagnosis was only confirmed through an autopsy. Sad days :'(
