Philip, welcome to GardenStew! You'll fine it a very friendly, helpful spot. We are in Central Texas, on a small farm with an indoor cat, a small flock of chickens and bee hives. We also have vegetable and herb gardens, and flower beds. I envy you your "fine, soft days" with all that moisture. I'll send you heat if you'll send us some gentle rain!
Oh those "fine soft days",..come very often,..i really shouldn't complain when i compare it to other members weather,..winter in particular!,..but yes please send some warm sunny weather,..in return you may have some of our rain. I used to have 24 Chickens and 24 Aylesbury Duck,..alas when moving house 5 years ago we had to part our ways,..though 2 dogs and six cats,..make up for some of the bedlam.
That would be a dream come true for me. I can trace my roots back to the 1500's. I am scared to death to fly. When I was 10 years old I watched a plane Crash and Burn with all passengers aboard at the SLC airport. Left me with a complex for getting on a plane. I live in the central part of the state it is way more beautiful than SLC, UT.
