Hi. I'm new to this forum. I hail from Western Pennsylvania, where the winters are dreadful and the ever-so-brief periods of sunshine offer hope for spring and beautiful gardens. I joined this forum because I wanted a place to track the progress of my mostly-flower-but-sometimes-vegetable garden this summer through pictures. I hope to take two pictures each week, Monday and Thursday, and post them to provide a sort of slideshow of the changes my garden takes over the next six months. My garden contains mostly irises, daylillies, a volunteer oak tree (the only one we allowed to remain) and a host of other flowers. There are a few daffodils beginning to poke up. I'm hopeful last week's snow hasn't killed them. Now if I only I can figure out how to post pictures!

Gosh, thanks for the warm welcome and all the assistance. I do plan to create a blog and hope to get it started today. I took my first pictures on Monday or Tuesday (can't remember now) when we still had snow in the backyard. It's gone today (yeah!) so I'll be taking another pic today.
