I'm glad I stumbled on this forum. Planting time is near and I'd love to chat with people of like minds about gardening. Most times, people who are non-gardeners get a glazed look on their faces when I expound on the wonders of all things growing! I have always gardened and/or had houseplants, but became an edibles fanatic about 5 years ago. I look forward to some edifying and enjoyable chat time! -Rhonda, Wearer of Many HAts.
Hi Rhonda, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. I wear many hats too, sometimes it is difficult to choose which one to put on in the morning but this time of year when we are having great spring weather....even tho we are way too dry.... it's my gardening hat that gets worn the most. What other hats do you wear? I am in the process of swapping the flower garden to the front yard so I can create a vegie/herb garden in the back this year.
Hello there there Rhonda and a welcome from West Lothian in Scotland. I look forward to getting to know you.
Hello Rhonda Welcome to the Stew - I am glad that you joined. Looking forward to reading your posts. 8) Wearer of many hats - are these hats a metaphore or are they literally hats???
Hi Rhonda and a hearty welcome to GardenStew. What hat are you wearing today? Don't forget to check out our blogs, member map and upload any plant images you have to PlantStew for all to see Details here: http://www.gardenstew.com/plantstew/help#3 // frank
Specifics on the Hats Hi, back, Texas and Ontario! In answer to your question, I wear the mom hat, family provider hat, teacher hat, tutor hat and, yes, a clown hat at children's parties on weekends (silly, but good money and lots of fun). One of my favorite hats is also my gardening hat. Happy gardening, and may spring be sprung as soon as possible for us all! -Rhonda...
Great- you fit right in with the Stew. We all seem to share hats in that fashion. Did I say that I am glad you joined?? I am also the wearer of a mother hat, for years I wore the provider hat, etc. Also love gardening HAT... :-D
A warm welcome to you from the still chilly mid-Norwegian coast. Hop in and make yourself at home. I can relate to that!
Thanks for the Welcome! Thanks for such a warm welcome! Today is a wonderfully freaky weather day...We're expecting up to 70 degrees. Of course I was out in the garden heaving shovel loads of compost before my second cup of coffee. Garden Stew is the perfect activity to help me keep from over doing it in the garden, but remain focused on my obsession! Keep us posted on your gardening fun!
