    My name's Katie and I'm 17 (I'm turning 18 in 4 months. yay!)

I recently discovered that I love gardening which is weird because I'm not an outdoors kind of gal.

When I'm not gardening I can usually be found writing short stories on my laptop, reading, or playing my playstation.

    My favorite color is purple.

    :D

 Katie and welcome to our forums from West Lothian in Scotland.
What kind of short stories do you write?
It certainly seems like you've been bitten by the gardening bug - but beware - once you've got it you can't get rid of it!! ;)

Welcome, Katie. I have a son, a granddaughter and a sister who live in California. They all garden, too. It's a beautiful state. dooley

Hello Katie and welcome from the other coast -- Maryland. I hope you continue to love gardening. I'm partial to the color orange, myself, but love purple in the garden! You must be getting ready to finish up school for the summer -- I hope your garden plans are fun for you.

Welcome Katie, from Norway. :stew2: I always get a big grin when youngsters confess that they like gardening. Please keep at it, and do tell us a bit about what you like to grow and what you've got growing.

Hi Katie, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. I became interested in gardening when I was about your age, but didn't actually start gardening until almost 40 years later. Hope you find a patch of the yard to call your own, start digging and planting soon. It's a great stress reliever.
