Just a hello to all. Looking forward to learning how to garden organically. Florida has many pests and diseases, and it is really difficult to grow a backyard garden without a lot of damage to the plants. It is very frustrating to work so hard and find that the little bugs or disease destroyed the plant within a couple days. So I'll be asking for your best organic homemade pesticides. Ones that don't hurt my honey bees and earthworms.

My favorite time to grow veggies starts in November and ends around March. That's when the veggie gobblers slow down and it gets quiet in the garden.

Welcome from Texas! I have a small garden and it's doing well. I have noticed some small holes in the leaves but nothing like the grasshoppers we had during the summer. Come in and enjoy the posts and make some yourself. We are a nosy bunch and like to know what everyone else is doing.

Another welcome from warm and buggy Texas! Gardening in our climates can be very rewarding, after the gardener stops pulling his/her hair out in frustration.
